Job Description

Internal Controls and Investor Management as well as maintain good Accounting systems and structures in the Organization.

Key Responsibilities

Assists in the development of annual plans and budgets for the Finance department to support the achievement of the corporate strategy.
Updates and implements financial and accounting policies, procedures, and strategies across the organization as directed by the CFO.
Work with the CFO and MD on possible Investment portfolios where funds can be channeled to.
Developing and monitoring Internal Controls as well as Risk Management.
Managing software accounting system as well as ensure the business runs smoothly and profitably.
Preparation of Monthly financials as well as Monthly Management Reports for Senior Management.
Computation of Return on Investments as well as Regular Fund Statements to Investors.
Maintains accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable data is available for business operations and planning.
Ensures effective management of the organization’s financial resources, and compliance with annual Budgets.
Ensures the accurate recording of financial transactions, and the prompt reconciliation of all accounts.
Manages relationships with relevant external bodies/ contacts e.g. regulatory
organizations, external auditors, solicitors, banks etc. Ensures the prompt administration of monthly payrolls, staff allowances and benefits, tax remittance, payment of insurance premiums and other statutory fees.
Represents the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, investors, auditors, public officials, etc.
Manages key banking relationships to facilitate proper, timely and cost- effective funding of business operations.
Implements and ensures compliance with the accounting policies and procedures of the group in line with financial regulatory standards.
Works with CFO to ensure the preparation and communication of timely, accurate, and useful financial and management reports for investors, lending institutions and the Board of Directors on a periodic and /or ad-hoc basis.
Financial admin. – Submitting claim forms & ensuring payment to vendors for various office related expenses.
Updating of Petty Cash Templates on daily basis.
Supervision of Issuance and preparation of Invoices and receipts to ensure compliance with agreed standards and deadline.
Ensure prompt and timely Preparation & Management of Weekly Receivables report and tracking for follow up to ensure collections to agreed terms.
Management & Preparation of Monthly payables Report, along with monthly costs budget.
Preparation of Monthly Statement of Receipts & Disbursement Report.
Responsible for Expenses Control, Petty Cash Management & Control of petty expenses.
Assist in carrying out administrative tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
Any other duties as will be assigned by the CFO and MD.

Ensure protection for assets through adequate record keeping, maintenance of assets register & insurance coverage.

Process turnaround time /speed of processing.
Ease of identification and retrieval of documents.
Timely computation of Return on Investments to Investors.
Efficient Management of Payroll and Petty cash.
Relationship Management
Maintains good client relationships with Investors.
Maintains key banking relationships to facilitate proper, timely and cost- effective funding of business operations.
