Summary
We’re recruiting for the position of Social Media / Content Marketing Manager based out of our Abuja office.
You will be the team member responsible for developing a conversational calendar pertinent to the Abuja market, including:
Managing our social media channels in collaboration with the Lagos content marketing team and as part of the Brand and Communications department
Developing, editing, and publishing core content as aligned with our brand guidelines (for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
Networking and engaging with influencers in the city to boost brand visibility online
Managing integrated marketing and ad campaigns for FB, Twitter, and Instagram
Consulting with other departments to make recommendations for bolstering engagement via our social media
Proactively monitoring mentions of our brand, and responding appropriately
Other offline tasks in support of the Marketing / Brand and Communications departments.
We expect someone passionate, creative, and purpose-driven. The Social Media / Content Marketing Manager is critical to the success of the Brand and Communications team and will be playing a key role in delivering against the company’s outreach and engagement objectives.
This person will be expected to interact with all other department leads and act as a resource/consultant in the area of social media and content marketing. We expect an out of the box thinker, a renegade who is also a team player, and a pioneer in executing more thoughtful and proactive engagement with our followers.

Ideal Qualifications
A university degree or equivalent.
A track record of social media management / content development / content marketing that showcases (a) creativity (b) ability to match (or even enhance) an established brand voice (c) examples of social media campaigns you’ve run, accounts you’ve managed, networks and communities you’ve built.Note: We are not interested in run of the mill marketers who conflate thousands of followers with being successful online. For us, quality matters over quantity. We are not looking for get-famous-quick schemes that primarily involve purchasing followers, paying other accounts to promote us etc. Our channels aren’t for advertising, they’re for engaging and building relationships with our target market and active brand ambassadors.
Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills. A strong command of grammar, punctuation, syntax, as you’ll be crafting content that represents a global brand.
Proficiency with dashboard monitoring tools such as TweetDeck, Hootsuite, Sprout Social etc.
High understanding of and respect for Dignity and Diversity in the workplace
A good deal of common sense, etiquette and an ability to think on one’s feet
