Roles and Responsibilities
This job responsibility includes, but is not limited to:•Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of the organisation’s mission, specifically support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organisational planning•Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (HR, IT and Finance) through improvement to each function, as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions•Play a significant role in long term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence•Oversee overall financial management, planning, systems and controls•Management of budget in coordination with the Executive Director•Development of individual programme budgets•Payroll management including tabulation of accrued employee benefits•Disbursement of cheques for expenses•Organisation of fiscal documents and regular meetings with the Executive Director around fiscal planning•Develop and manage annual budget•Oversee regular assessments and forecasts of the organisation’s financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals•Oversee short and long term financial and managerial reporting•Managing day-to-day processing of accounts receivable and payable, and producing reports as requested•Reconciling monthly activity, generating year-end reports, and fulfilling tax related requirements•Assisting the Executive Director in creating annual organisational budgets and monitoring cash flow•Manage all organisational functions•Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services through improvements to each function (HR, IT, Finance), as well as coordination and communication between functions•Drive initiatives in the Management Team and organisationally, that contribute to long term operational excellence•Providing consulting services on matters related to business structure and growth•Organisational Leadership•Contribute to short and long term organisational planning and strategy as a member of the Management Team.•Serve as primary liaison in addressing legal issues•Oversee organisational insurance policiesSkill set
•A male is more preferable for this role•Leadership and management abilities to oversee the organisation•A passion to help clients and staff meet and surpass their goals•Able to see the big picture and plan out details•Direct communications•Detail oriented•Reliable, follows through on commitments•Persuasive•Strong process and planning orientation•Goal oriented, task driven•Requisite experience in HR frameworks, financial management, marketing and operations•Financial reporting capabilities, including budgeting and cash flow management•Minimum of B.Sc. from a reputable university in Business Management, Human Resources or any relevant field•A postgraduate degree or professional qualification will be an added advantage•5 – 7 years of business management experience across a range of business disciplines
