Job Purpose: Working in a team environment, the Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing/Setting up of the system, Functional Training, engaging, and assisting customers in understanding and managing of different AGL’s Solutions. Implements application system requirements by defining and analyzing system problems; designing and testing standards and solutions. Solves organizational information problems and requirements by analyzing requirements; designing application programs; recommending system controls and protocols.
The Functional Support Consultant is also responsible for keeping the entire Team aware of technology changes and best practices for different solutions.
Functional Support Consultant Job Duties:

Evaluates vendor-supplied software by studying user objectives; testing software compatibility with existing hardware and programs.
Places software into production by loading software into computer; entering necessary commands.
Places hardware into production by establishing connections; entering necessary commands.
Maximizes use of hardware and software by training users; interpreting instructions; answering questions.
Maintains system capability by testing computer components.
Prepares reference for users by writing operating instructions.
Maintains historical records by documenting hardware and software changes and revisions.
Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

He/She must have sound knowledge of Accounting, Tax management, Implementation of ERP Products, and Project management. The Business Support Consultant must be able to make presentation on the products (Software-ERP).
The candidate will be a B.Sc. First Class, Second Class or HND (Upper Credit) graduate with at least 4 -5 years cognate experience acquired in verifiable organizations. ACCA, CPA, ACA or related professional qualification will be an added advantage. He/She must have related experience on Hardware and ERP solutions (Sage ERP X3, SAP, Oracle Financials, Sage Evolution, SAP, Sage Accpac-ERP 300, CRM or Microsoft Dynamics).
