The M & E Advisor will act in close collaboration in giving direct support to the Jigawa WINNN STA, under the guidance of the Nutrition Coordinator, to ensure implementation of the M&E plan for Nutrition Programme, including monitoring progress against activity and critical milestones as well as providing support and guidance to STA, LTAs, IYCF TA, and Government counterparts.
Summary of Key Objectives:
{C}· Objective 1: Provide support in the collection, compilation, analysis and reporting of CMAM, IYCF and MNCHWs data throughout Jigawa State{C}· Objective 2: To build capacity of health staff at State, LGA level and health facility level and to track progress on capacity building activities {C}· Objective 3: Coordination and support to the government health offices both at the state and LGA level.Objective 4: Support Accountability, communications and training
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in public health, statistics or demography with previous experience working in nutrition or health projects. Higher level degree and/or significant research experience and expertise preferred.
Qualifications & Essential Skills:
Commitment to and understanding of ACF aims, values and principles.
Experience of data collection, collation; extremely high capacity for synthesis large quantities of information and data, clear analysis and reporting
Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, Sphere standard, SPSS, SMART.
Willing and able to be based and travel regularly within remote areas, where services are limited.
Experience of emergency nutrition work and the design and implementation of feeding programmes (ideally IYCF, CTC/CMAM), including IYCF monitoring and evaluation
Proven capacity to supervise, train and coach staff
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; willingness to be respectful, kind, sensitive and empathize with all beneficiaries and their careers
Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions
Prepared to live and work in an uncertain security environment
Fluency in written and spoken English and Hausa
Ability to work as part of a team

Preferred
Experience in the setup of a IYCF program within CMAM program in an emergency context
Experience with working with partners, including the government
Previous experience working with mothers support group and strong negotiation skill for behavior change
Fluency in local languages (Kanouri, Fulani)
Training in adult education/learning and effective training approaches
