ï‚· Create the framework within which the department will workï‚· Provide day-to-day financial management of the company’s activities including but not limited to activities such as monthly management reporting, inventory management, and statutory returns.ï‚· Provide operational support as requiredï‚· Provide administrative support in order to ensure effective and efficient office and field operations
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFinance & Operational:
ï‚· Creation of the financial management framework for the embryonic business operationsï‚· Prepares financial plan and budgetsï‚· Prepares and analyses management reportsï‚· Manages cash disbursementï‚· Prepares all financial reportsï‚· Maintenance of sound accounting systemï‚· Prepares and reconciles weekly and monthly cash budgets reportsï‚· Credit control – manage distributors’ credit limit and financial guaranteesï‚· Manages Payrollï‚· Manages inventory and performs product costingï‚· Manages and monitors product flow and releaseï‚· Analyses cost accounting data and assist cycle count/physical inventoriesï‚· General adminï‚· Project management: work-planning, execution, monitoring and trackingï‚· Liaising with staff, suppliers and other business partnersï‚· Using a variety of software packages including but not limited to key accounting software packages
Administrative & Tactical:
ï‚· Implementing and maintaining procedures/administrative systemsï‚· Doing research, and preparing presentations and reports
Staff Management & Development:
ï‚· Hire high quality individuals and lead, motivate and manage the teamï‚· Ensure the achievement of objectives through the active participation of all direct reports / team membersï‚· Analyze, plan and ensure the provision of training and support to ensure effective skill levels for all sales staff
Qualifications :
ï‚· Minimum Higher National Diploma (Upper Credit) or a Bachelor’s Degree (2.1) in Accounting or its equivalents; an advanced qualification is an advantageï‚· Some financial management experience is essentialï‚· Professional qualification should be a minimum of ACA or ACCAï‚· Working experience of at least 5 years post professional qualification, preferably in the consumer goods / manufacturing sector
