Outside Sales Representative

JOB PURPOSE:

To develop customer relationships and negotiate terms with customers in a designated sales area, supporting the maximization of Net Profit for the Region. Take the initiative to identify and develop new business opportunities (with both new and existing customers) to support this objective. Continuously striving to find new business opportunities on all Trades.
To aggressively pursue corporate bodies, enterprises and individualS with the sole aim of “,inning increased cargo support to MOL in line with the Trade Game Plan and the Sales Action plan.
To be a dominant playerln the Nigerian export market and consolidate foothold with imports in the face of growing competition.
To support the Sales Manager in building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential new customers withinrespective account portfolio in line with the West Africa Account Development Plan (AOP), Trade Game Plan and Department Action Plan, aimed at achieving sales targets.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Sales visits Visit new and existing customers on a very regular basis 10 negotiate prices, with the aim of winning increased cargo support to MOL and securing best cargo mix to meet the various volume and Net Profil targelsset as perGame Plan and SalesAction Plan, and also to maintain customers relationship. Reverse canvassing f(lr Westbound & Southbound cus10mers with the aim (If supporting Asia & Europe origins In oblalnlng more business Freight Rates To offer rates to customers through negotiations or rate guideline as provided by Trade Management and to ensura that agreed rates are applied to maximize profit and sustain customer support. To reply to rate requests in consultation with Sales Manager and Trade Managers and within 24 hours or earlier if possible. To file rate agreed by Trade and Customer while liaising with India Service Centre. Provide inside sales assistance when Inside Sales Representative is not in the office. Market Intelligence/communication Compile and communicate market information for use by Regional Sales management and Head Office. To provide, on request, export/import statistics required by Managers and olhar departments within MOL Account Management Face-to-face contact with customers to support account management, customer service and control (NB: Non-sales Issues to bea ddressed by relevant department but Sales may front discussions with customer). Organization Develop Key Performance Objectives and achieve personal goals, in Hne with the Game Plan and Department Action Plan, to contribute to a continuous development of the Sales department processes and outpul SUpply the Sales Manager with input on personal goals. In cooperation with the Sales Manager, and as a Team player, balance the personal goals against the possibilities within Iha department/organization To carry out any other duties that are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    Must be between the age of 30 – 40 years
    Qualified Bachelor degree and/or its equivalent
    Very smart and confidence
    Relevant experience within the shipping sector is an added advantage
    Must have high integrity
    Must be proficient in the use of MS Office (Word/Excel/Powerpoint)
    Ability to relate effectively to people at all levels
    Good verbal and written communicaUon skills
    Must be assertive and have the ability to multi task
    Ability to deliver work to tight deadlines
