Role Description
This position is a full-time, in-person Consultant Pediatrician role based at Mother and Child Hospital on Lagos Mainland.
The Consultant Pediatrician will deliver specialized medical services to patients ranging from infancy through adolescence, ensuring comprehensive care tailored to each developmental stage.
The role encompasses diagnosing and managing pediatric illnesses, conducting routine examinations and administering vaccinations, coordinating with healthcare specialists such as neonatologists and gynecologists, and providing guidance to parents or guardians regarding child health and developmental milestones.
The position requires continuous awareness of developments in pediatric medicine to uphold standards of excellence in patient care.
Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, complemented by at least three years of hands-on experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, alongside strong problem-solving abilities and familiarity with agile methodologies. The ideal applicant should demonstrate excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and possess a keen attention to detail for ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Proven expertise in Medicine and Primary Care practice, with a comprehensive grasp of foundational principles and clinical applications.
Proficiency in Pediatrics, demonstrated through the ability to accurately diagnose and effectively treat a range of childhood illnesses, is essential for this role.
Proficiency in Neonatology and expertise in managing the care of newborn infants are required.
Proven capability to work efficiently alongside physicians and other healthcare practitioners to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Skilled in effectively communicating and building strong interpersonal relationships with patients and caregivers is essential.
A medical degree, such as an MBBS or equivalent qualification, along with board certification in Pediatrics, is required for this position.
Demonstrated professional experience in pediatric care within a hospital or clinical healthcare environment.
Dedication to delivering empathetic and patient-focused healthcare services remains a cornerstone of this role.
Proficiency in child-centered healthcare policies and regulatory frameworks is essential.
