Legal Investment Operations Manager (Legal / Loan documentation / Investments / Security (asset) Registration)

Responsibilities:
Management and quality execution of specific investment processes in compliance with approved policies, standards and procedures
Ensuring compliance with document management policies, standards and procedures
Effective and professional liaison with clients and legal and/or regulatory service providers
Efficient support to the Operations, Legal and Legal collection functions
Ensure Standard Conditions Precedent remains applicable locally and inform of any required changes to ensure effective, enforceable loan agreements
Liaise with Investment Operations and/or legal counsel to address any potential delays or verify regulatory compliance
Conduct independent client reference checks and deed searches to confirm collateral availability and client viability
Ensure that all legal and/or other documentation is drafted in line with the approved terms and conditions
Support the Investment Manager in submitting quality disbursement requests in line with policies and procedures
Ensure collateral reviews are executed in line with policy by Investment staff and escalate where these are outstanding
Provide accurate registration instructions to legal counsel and drive the registration process to mitigate risk
Remain up to date with any changes in the collateral registration process and escalate such to Investment operations for action.
Act as in country liaison between the Recovery department and Legal department and external legal counsel or EDC’s
Receive any documentation relating to debt collection and litigation on behalf of the office and liaise with the Recovery department on litigation issues
Implement and manage the tools and methods used to capture, manage, store, preserve, deliver and dispose of documents across the business
Requirements: Qualification and Skills
Relevant legal qualification (paralegal, legal secretary), post graduate degree will be advantageous
No less than 4 years’ experience in a similar role (only relevant experience will be considered)
Experience in loan documentation and security (asset) registration is essential
Experience in the financial services industry for example as credit/ loan administrator is required
Exposure to the SGB environment would be beneficial
Fluency in English and excellent communication and presentation skills
