We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team in this pivotal position. The ideal candidates will assist the Finance and Accounts Department with financial documentation, transaction processing, reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable support, statutory compliance, and basic financial reporting.

This position is designed for early-career professionals who possess a solid academic foundation in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a closely related field, with up to three years of hands-on experience in a relevant capacity. The preferred candidate will demonstrate strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, quantitative proficiency, a proactive approach to learning, and the capability to handle financial data with precision and discretion.

The position encompasses executing a comprehensive range of duties designed to support organizational objectives. Key responsibilities include overseeing project timelines, managing stakeholder communications, and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures. Additionally, the role requires analyzing data to identify trends, preparing detailed reports for leadership review, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in project management methodologies, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal skills to foster productive team dynamics.

Provide assistance in compiling, verifying, and organizing invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, journals, and other relevant financial documentation for accurate record-keeping and processing.

Provide support in entering financial transactions into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy under the guidance of a supervisor.

Facilitate the execution of bank, customer, vendor, and general ledger reconciliation processes to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards.

Provide support in monitoring accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate financial record-keeping and timely processing.

Provide support for the preparation and processing of payments, expense claims, reimbursements, and retirements while ensuring accurate documentation and filing of financial records for audits, reporting, and reference needs. Collaborate in the development of weekly, monthly, and periodic finance reports to facilitate decision-making and compliance.

Prepare tax and statutory compliance documentation, encompassing VAT, WHT, PAYE, pension contributions, and other applicable deductions.

We seek candidates who meet the following essential qualifications and possess the required skills: a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least three years of professional experience in a related role, and proficiency in industry-standard software. Strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment are also necessary. Additionally, familiarity with project management methodologies and a commitment to continuous learning are highly valued.

A bachelor’s degree with at least an Upper Second Class Honors in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent field is required.

Seeking candidates with up to three years of professional experience in finance, accounting, audit, banking, consulting, or a closely aligned field.

A fundamental grasp of accounting principles, financial processes, and reconciliation techniques is required.

Proficient in numerical analysis, logical reasoning, and troubleshooting complex issues with a structured approach.

Ensure meticulous attention to detail and maintain high standards of accuracy in all tasks performed.

Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel and additional Microsoft Office applications is required.

Proficient in analyzing numerical data, preparing reports, maintaining financial records, and interpreting supporting documentation.

Professional qualifications like ICAN, ARCA, ACA, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
