Job Summary:

The Medical Sales Representative (MSR) plays a pivotal role in expanding the market reach and increasing revenue for pharmaceutical products across a designated territory, engaging directly with pharmacies, hospitals, and healthcare professionals to drive product adoption and sales.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties, encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation, process improvements, and cost-saving initiatives. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate detailed reports to assess progress, identify trends, and provide data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement. Serve as a liaison between senior management and operational teams to facilitate clear communication, alignment of goals, and timely resolution of challenges. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development to cultivate a high-performing and engaged workforce.

Consistently meet or surpass predetermined monthly and quarterly sales goals.

Demonstrate and market pharmaceutical products to pharmacies, hospitals, and clinical facilities to drive sales.

Prospect and cultivate relationships with new clients across the designated region to expand market presence and drive revenue growth.

Cultivate and sustain robust partnerships with pharmacists and essential accounts to ensure seamless collaboration and mutual growth.

Deliver consistent on-site customer engagements to verify product accessibility and stock levels.

Conduct promotional initiatives and assist with product rollouts.

Observe and analyze competitive movements as well as evolving market dynamics to maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry positioning and opportunities.

Prepare and submit consistent sales performance reports along with detailed market intelligence updates on a regular basis.

The position necessitates a minimum of three years of relevant experience in the field, along with a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential to collaborate effectively across departments. Familiarity with industry-specific software and regulatory standards is highly preferred. The ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities is crucial. Prior leadership or mentoring experience is an advantage.

A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Sciences, Marketing, or a comparable discipline is required.

Seeking candidates with 1 to 3 years of sales experience, ideally in the pharmaceutical or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors.

The position demands excellent communication and negotiation skills to facilitate effective interactions and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Proficiency in Nigerian pharmaceutical distribution networks is considered beneficial.

A valid driver’s license is required, and the candidate must be willing to travel as needed.
