Action Against Hunger Nigeria (ACF Nigeria) LTD/LTE, a global humanitarian and development organization, combats the root causes and consequences of hunger across more than 50 countries, including Nigeria. Since its establishment in 2010, ACF Nigeria has focused on alleviating chronic food insecurity and malnutrition in Northeast Nigeria, intervening in a severe humanitarian crisis driven by insecurity, displacement, natural disasters, climate change, and economic shocks.
ACF Nigeria, in collaboration with its partners BO WDI, YIP DI, Save the Children (SC), and EYE, has been executing the Empowering and Nurturing Resilience, Integration, and Community Health in Nigeria (ENRICH) initiative, funded by the U.S. Department of State. Over the past 24 months, this program has delivered critical lifesaving and recovery support to vulnerable communities in Born State, particularly in the Rubio, Maguire, Mobber, and Saga Local Government Areas (Gas). The initiative has positively impacted the lives of approximately 714,045 individuals.
The primary goals of these initiatives are to achieve measurable outcomes while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. Each project is designed to address specific challenges, fostering innovation and efficiency within the team. Clear objectives and key results (OKRs) will guide the efforts, enabling progress tracking and accountability throughout the initiative. Stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration will be essential to drive successful execution and sustainable impact.
Enhanced health and nutrition services are implemented to effectively lower morbidity and mortality rates.
Household food security among conflict-affected populations is enhanced by distributing unconditional food or cash assistance during both lean and off-lean seasons.
Integrated WASH interventions are implemented to strengthen the resilience of households, communities, and systems in Born, enabling them to withstand shocks effectively.
Enhanced protection services are made accessible to impacted communities, thereby strengthening their resilience.
ACF and its partners are advancing food security, enhancing access to improved health and nutrition services, and strengthening resilience among vulnerable populations through their multi-sectoral approaches. The organization’s primary objective is to elevate nutrition security, diminish mortality and morbidity rates—particularly among children under five—and foster community empowerment to achieve sustainable thriving.
ACF Nigeria, following 20 months of project implementation, aims to create a documentary highlighting the advancements and community impact achieved under the ENRICH project across Born state. To accomplish this, the organization is seeking a skilled service provider—such as a journalist, videographer, or digital documentary producer—with expertise in producing documentaries within community settings, particularly in Born and Lobe States, Northeast Nigeria.
