Position Summary

Under the guidance of the Deputy Country Director – Programs and in coordination with the Regional Technical Protection Coordinator (functional link), the incumbent is responsible for establishing thematic approaches and methodologies within the Protection strategy, as well as ensuring their adaptation and implementation at the national level.

He or she plays a key role in guiding programs by overseeing the execution and monitoring of Protection indicators within the Nigeria Delegation and approving both the indicators and their analytical insights.

They provide technical expertise and oversight to Protection operations, projects, and approaches at the delegation level, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and objectives.

He or she is responsible for disseminating Protection knowledge and promoting best practices to the TDI Nigeria Delegation teams through structured training sessions and ongoing coaching initiatives.

He or she is responsible for overseeing knowledge management initiatives in alignment with Protection protocols within the delegation.

Ensuring the quality and alignment of protection projects and interventions in accordance with international standards and Terry DES homes (TDI) guidelines is a key responsibility of the role.
