Job Purpose
The Logistics Officer will oversee procurement activities, transportation logistics, warehousing operations, inventory management, asset tracking, and overall logistical processes to guarantee timely and efficient project execution while adhering to Donor and Organizational Policies.
Oversee and execute key responsibilities essential to the role, including managing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Analyze workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to enhance productivity and quality. Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to gather requirements, resolve conflicts, and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Monitor performance metrics to assess progress, provide feedback, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain clear documentation of processes and outcomes while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Collaborate closely with procurement teams to develop and execute strategic plans, ensuring seamless alignment with organizational objectives and operational needs. Assist in the implementation of procurement initiatives, fostering efficiency and adherence to established policies and procedures.
Draft procurement requisitions, solicit vendor quotations, conduct comprehensive bid evaluations, and issue official purchase orders.
Ensure that all procurement activities strictly adhere to both donor-established guidelines and organizational policies to maintain compliance and transparency throughout the process.
Maintain procurement records and documentation with accuracy and completeness, ensuring all transactions and processes are properly documented and easily accessible for audit and review purposes.
Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of all project supplies to ensure efficient inventory management and timely availability for team needs.
Perform routine stock counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies on a consistent basis.
Conduct audits and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Ensure the accurate tagging, systematic tracking, and ongoing maintenance of organizational assets.
