About the Role
A seasoned Full Stack Developer proficient in PHP (Laravel) is sought to enhance our dynamic team. This individual will spearhead the development, upkeep, and enhancement of web applications, ensuring superior user experiences and high-performing backend systems.
This six-month contract position offers the potential for renewal or conversion based on performance metrics.
Responsible for executing a range of essential duties, including overseeing daily operations to ensure adherence to organizational standards, managing project timelines to meet key milestones, and coordinating cross-functional teams to enhance workflow efficiency. Accountable for analyzing performance data to identify areas for improvement and implementing strategic initiatives to drive productivity and operational excellence. Additionally, maintains compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while fostering a collaborative work environment that supports team development and professional growth.
Design, create, evaluate, and implement scalable web applications employing the Laravel framework.
Develop and implement integrations with third-party application programming interfaces (APIs), payment processing systems, and external service providers to enhance system functionality and connectivity.
Develop and optimize responsive front-end interfaces utilizing contemporary JavaScript frameworks, such as Vue.js or React.
Oversee the design, implementation, and enhancement of database architectures, ensuring efficient data organization and retrieval. Supervise database migrations to maintain data integrity and minimize downtime during transitions. Optimize database performance by analyzing query efficiency, indexing strategies, and resource allocation to enhance overall system responsiveness.
Design and develop scalable solutions, prioritizing performance and maintainability to meet evolving needs.
Work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow developers to craft intuitive and cohesive user experiences that align with project objectives.
Maintain and enhance existing codebases by implementing optimizations to boost performance and strengthen security measures.
Examine systems to identify and resolve issues, perform necessary debugging, and implement upgrades as required.
Conduct thorough code reviews, uphold established coding standards, and verify compliance with industry best practices to maintain high-quality software development.
Perform comprehensive evaluations to determine the technical viability of proposed product features and enhancements.
Monitor advancements in technology and take initiative to suggest enhancements that will bolster product scalability and improve overall user experience.
Engage in strategic technical discussions and provide valuable input to shape the product roadmap from a development standpoint.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable field obtained through practical experience is required.
A minimum of two years of demonstrated professional expertise in full stack web development is required.
A solid command of PHP, Laravel, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Bootstrap/Tailwind CSS is required.
Proficiency in either Vue.js or React.js frameworks is required.
Proficient in software architecture principles, security methodologies, and deployment pipeline operations.
Proficiency in developing and executing unit tests is required.
Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, DigitalOcean, or comparable services, along with expertise in containerization technologies like Docker, is considered advantageous.
Proficient in RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and web security best practices.
Possesses strong analytical abilities, a knack for troubleshooting, and clear, effective communication skills.
Demonstrates the capacity to operate autonomously while exercising sound technical judgment in dynamic, high-pressure settings.
