To outline the primary purpose of the position, which is to oversee and implement strategic initiatives that drive organizational growth while ensuring alignment with company objectives. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and committed Lines mate Technician to strengthen our Operations & Services team.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining preventive and scheduled maintenance plans for the distribution network, thereby ensuring optimal operational performance, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with established company standards.

Responsible for overseeing critical client relationships and ensuring their needs are met with excellence. Accountable for driving revenue growth within assigned key accounts through strategic planning and execution. Manages cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that exceed customer expectations. Provides regular performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting progress and areas for improvement. Ensures seamless communication between the company and key clients to foster long-term partnerships. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to align resources and optimize account profitability.

Perform operational and maintenance activities in accordance with established company guidelines and protocols.

Identify and rectify network faults to ensure sustained reliability in substations, implementing measures to avert future occurrences.

Construct, adjust, and sustain electrical instruments and testing equipment, while diagnosing and resolving any operational issues or malfunctions that may arise.

Partner with engineers and cross-functional team members to address and resolve complex technical challenges efficiently.

Perform thorough evaluations as part of quality control and assurance initiatives to verify compliance with established standards and protocols.

Conduct on-site inspections at transformer substations to diagnose and resolve operational issues while ensuring the cleanliness and organization of each site.

Maintain adherence to the Quality Management System and Occupational Health & Safety standards.

Support the department’s goals by completing any other assigned tasks as required.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, three or more years of hands-on experience in a similar role, and proficiency with industry-standard software and tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential, as is the capacity to work independently and collaboratively. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a commitment to continuous professional development. Familiarity with project management methodologies and compliance regulations is also required.

Candidates must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSC), General Certificate of Education (GCE), National Examination Council (NECK), or National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NAB TEB) qualification, or an equivalent, with five credit passes in science subjects—including English Language and Mathematics.

A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience is required.

Applicants must be no older than 35 years of age.

Responsibilities include designing, overseeing, and ensuring the efficient functioning of sub-station infrastructure, as well as performing routine maintenance and implementing operational strategies to uphold reliability and safety standards.

Perform operational and maintenance management duties encompassing both high and low tension systems.

Ensures adherence to safety and health regulations, fostering a secure work environment through meticulous hazard identification, risk assessment, and compliance with all applicable standards. Conducts regular inspections, maintains documentation, and provides training to mitigate workplace risks. Collaborates with management to implement corrective actions and verify ongoing compliance with OSHA and other regulatory bodies.
