Maintain accurate records and oversee daily sales operations, ensuring all supporting source documents are thoroughly verified.

Oversee the allocation, recording, and documentation of petty cash disbursements to ensure accurate financial tracking and compliance with established procedures.

Responsible for managing and reconciling all accounts receivable and accounts payable for the outlet.

Reconciliation of current accounts with head office and other branches involves verifying and aligning financial records to ensure accuracy and consistency across all locations. This process includes comparing transaction details, identifying discrepancies, and resolving any variances to maintain proper accounting alignment and compliance with established financial standards.

Responsibilities include examining and validating all financial postings, such as general ledger entries, fixed asset records, inventory transactions, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards.

Financial performance updates for retail locations are to be reported on a regular basis.

Responsible for updating records within the accounting system, in addition to performing routine backups of the database and conducting system maintenance tasks.

Oversee the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.

Requirements

ND, HND, or B.Sc. degrees in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines are required for this role.

A minimum of two to five years of hands-on experience in a cashier role is required for this position.

Possessing robust analytical capabilities and an exceptional eye for detail from the cornerstone of this role, enabling precise evaluation and meticulous oversight of tasks.

Proficient in utilizing the SAGE application with a strong understanding of its functionalities and capabilities.

Skills Needed: Proficiency in relevant software applications, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills are essential. Candidates must demonstrate problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail. A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role is required, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards is a must. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies is highly desirable.

A keen eye for identifying numerical inaccuracies is essential.
