Position Summary
The Admin / Account Officer will handle day-to-day administrative duties while managing accounts, processing financial transactions, and maintaining accurate records. This role is critical for ensuring smooth operations and financial compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage general office administration including correspondence, scheduling, and office supplies
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and reports
Handle payroll processing and maintain employee records
Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for company transactions
Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting
Maintain organized filing systems for important documents and contracts
Support the management team with administrative tasks and special projects
Liaise with clients regarding account status and payment issues
Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and tax requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
2+ years of experience in administrative roles with accounting responsibilities
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Good understanding of basic accounting principles
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
Familiarity with Nigerian tax regulations and financial reporting requirements
Experience in the tech industry is a plus.
