Job Description:
Drive and collate Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) for common cases seen across all units on a weekly basis.
Monitor/track departmental risk management meetings, collate departmental risk management reports and identify risks that require medical administration interference.
Work collaboratively with the OPD team and coordinate telemedicine services.
Co-ordinate Medical Officers training schedules and monthly hospital wide ground rounds.
Daily ward rounds to identify and escalate to Consultants, CMAC/CMO pressing or complex issues with patients, patients’ relatives and other clinical staff.
Co-ordinate Multi-Disciplinary Teams’ meetings and patient education sessions where required.
Where appropriate and when no medical officer is available, provide additional emergency support when there is a surge of patients at the required unit to provide care and manage assigned patients and cases.
Monitor and track Medical Officers’ compliance on ISBAR on a daily/weekly basis.
Attend weekly quality and risk management meetings and address quality gaps identified in clinical processes.
Attend other meetings where appropriate when assigned to.
In rare cases, process request for coroner’s cases and ensure the requesting physician abide to the SOP for handling coroner’s autopsy.
Act as a liaison between patients, all physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
Complete all tasks as assigned by the Hospital Administrator.
Job Requirements:
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple/complex cases and work under pressure.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and hospital management systems (training will be provided).
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
