Job Description
As a Massage therapist,you will be responsible for providing high-quality massage services to clients, ensuring a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
This role requires expertise in various massage techniques, a commitment to client satisfaction, and adherence to health and hygiene standards.
You would also have some experience in handling facials.
Key Responsibilities
Perform a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, reflexology, aromatherapy, and others as required.
Assess clients’ needs and recommend appropriate treatments.
Create a comfortable and relaxing environment for clients.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work area and equipment.
Keep accurate client records, including treatment history and preferences.
Promote additional spa services and products to clients.
Stay updated on the latest massage techniques and industry trends.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
Education: Certification or Diploma in Massage Therapy from a recognized institution.
Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a masseuse in a spa, wellness centre, or similar setting.
Proficiency in a variety of massage techniques.
Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to build rapport with clients and provide personalized service.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and professionalism.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Knowledge of complementary therapies such as hot stone massage, prenatal massage, or cupping therapy is a plus.
Sales or customer service experience is an advantage.
