A rapidly expanding plastic recycling firm is in search of a skilled and seasoned Forklift Operators Supervisor to enhance our operational team.

Widow village, situated along the Sag amu-Abeokuta Expressway in Gun State, Nigeria, serves as the designated location for this role.

JOB SUMMARY

The Forklift Operators Supervisor is responsible for managing daily forklift operations in the factory and workshop settings, enforcing safety standards, evaluating operator performance, and facilitating efficient material flow across production units.

Develop and execute strategies to drive sales growth, enhance customer engagement, and expand market reach. Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring alignment with revenue targets and company objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to optimize performance and deliver exceptional results. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, identify trends, and implement corrective actions as needed. Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to build long-term business partnerships and maximize retention. Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements throughout all sales activities. Provide leadership and mentorship to the sales team to cultivate a high-performance culture and drive continuous improvement.

Oversee and organize the workflows of forklift operators to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Responsibilities include overseeing the secure loading and unloading of materials, as well as their proper stacking and efficient movement within the facility.

Oversee forklift operations and verify adherence to established maintenance schedules to uphold equipment reliability and safety standards.

Ensure strict adherence to workplace health and safety regulations.

Perform regular forklift inspections and immediately document any identified faults for further action.

Provide comprehensive instruction and mentorship to forklift operators, focusing on optimal operational techniques and safety standards.

Partner with workshop, production, and management teams to facilitate seamless operational workflows.

Oversee the proper management of fuel and battery systems alongside ensuring operational efficiency at all times.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is essential, alongside a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software development, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++. Strong problem-solving abilities and expertise in system design are critical, along with familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. Excellent communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, and the ability to work both independently and under tight deadlines is required. Candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies in the field.

A high school diploma or Ordinary National Diploma (OND) is required.

Demonstrated success in supervisory positions involving forklift operations or comparable responsibilities is required.

A current forklift operator certification is considered a valuable asset.

Demonstrates exceptional leadership capabilities and effective communication proficiency.

Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols pertinent to workshop and manufacturing environments.

Demonstrates strong capacity to perform efficiently under tight deadlines while coordinating the efforts of multiple operators with precision and clarity.
