Technician, Product App, Savoury Taste

Job Purpose

As a savory Lab Technician, you will work across a variety of project briefs and support business strategy in Savory segment. This role will be reporting to Technical Category Manager Savory.

Key Responsibilities

Develop innovative savory food applications
Support in flavor creation for briefs received from clients
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (mainly flavorist & commercial team) to answer customers’ needs.
Independently run the application laboratory work and prepare samples for evaluation purposes and submissions to clients.
Support clients during product development process and present dsm-firmenich technologies
Maintain and apply good laboratory practice/Manage various administrative internal systems/tasks and keep daily records on orders, dispatch, and laboratory work.
Manage stock of lab supplies & raw material as well as storage of samples prepared and maintain clean and well-organized laboratory/work place.
Maintain a deep knowledge of flavor collection and demonstrate that knowledge during project execution.
Independently operate standard equipment/procedures to the required level.

We Value

Bachelor’s degree/HND/OND in Food Technology, Food Science or related fields
At least 1-3 years of experience in Food/Flavor Product Development.
Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate cross-functional communication, autonomous, with strong time management and organizational skills and the ability to take initiative
Technical education in food formulation or flavours
Capable of handling multiple projects in a methodical manner, within short deadlines
Fluent in English
