Head, Production Unit

Job Summary:

Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day production activities and ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently.

Job Requirement

Develop and implement comprehensive production plans aligned with business goals and customer demands.
Create detailed production schedules, considering resource availability, lead times, and production capacity.
Implement quality control procedures and monitor product quality metrics to identify and address issues.
Conduct regular quality inspections and ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.
Assess and manage production resources including raw materials, equipment, manpower, and budget.
Lead and motivate a team of production personnel, including supervisors, operators, and technicians.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Develop and manage production budgets, tracking expenses against targets.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements to optimize production costs.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to optimize production efficiency.
Analyze production data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies to drive innovation.

Job Requirement

Master’s Degree (or at the minimum Bachelor’s degree) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management or related field.
Proven 5 years work experience as a Head of Production or Senior Level Production Staff especially in the water products space.
Proven managerial or supervisory experience.
Detailed knowledge of production operations.
Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).
Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise as well as production ethics.
Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes.Strong management and leadership skills.
Effective communication skills.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
Impressive organisation and efficiency skills. Multitasking and time-management skills.
Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
