Job Overview:
We seek an experienced and innovative Product Research & Development (R&D) Manager to lead our quality assurance and product development efforts in a dynamic quick-service restaurant (QSR) environment. The ideal candidate will drive excellence in food safety, product innovation, and process improvement while ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency in our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of new products, with a focus on innovation, recipe improvement, and testing.
Research market trends and customer preferences, especially in the QSR sector, to propose new products and menu items that cater to the local market.
Ensure that all new products meet regulatory and internal standards for quality, taste, and safety.
Conduct regular audits of production processes and kitchens to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including HACCP and local food safety laws.
Ensure that traditional techniques and flavours are preserved while adapting recipes to suit local customer preferences.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in production and quality control.
Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements in food production, introducing innovations to improve product quality and reduce production time.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science & Nutrition, Nutrition & Dietetics, Catering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience managing central production for a quick-service restaurant, food establishment or R&D chef.
Extensive knowledge of food safety, quality control, and production processes, particularly within the QSR sector.
Strong leadership background, with a history of managing teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
