Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Install, inspect, test and maintain electrical system, equipment, and components.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards and regulations during installation and maintenance activities.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components to restore functionality.
Conduct regular testing and calibration of electrical systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Utilize testing equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes and other tools to verify proper functioning.
Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance and repair activities.
Document equipment specifications, wiring diagrams, and procedures.
Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and relevant personnel to address complex electrical issues and optimize system performance.
Provide support to other departments in coordinating electrical work related to project and upgrades
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
Execute emergency repair procedures and collaborate with relevant teams during critical situations.
Stay informed about advancements in electrical technology through continuous learning.
Perform other related duties as may be required.
Competency & Technical skill requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
At least 4 years working experience as an Electrical Engineer.
Sound knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with the design and implementation of automated systems, especially as related to manufacturing
Strong ability with software testing and validation
Good communication and organizational skills
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to complete shift operations.
