Business Development Executive – Lubricant Specialist

Position Summary

Our company seeks a highly skilled and motivated Business Development Executive – Lubricant Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields such as chemistry or petroleum engineering. This individual will be responsible for technical field support, business development, and driving the sales of lubricant products.

The role demands hands-on field experience, strong business acumen, and a willingness to travel across various regions to develop and expand the company’s market presence.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support for lubricant products, including advising customers on product selection, application, and troubleshooting.
Analyze lubricant performance and recommend suitable formulations for specific applications across industries.
Conduct product demonstrations and technical training for clients and partners.
Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in the lubricant industry.
Develop and execute sales strategies to expand the company’s lubricant market share.
Identify and establish relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
Meet sales targets through effective lead generation, follow-ups, and customer engagement.
Gather and analyze market data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges for lubricant products.
Conduct on-site visits to assess lubricant needs and deliver hands-on solutions.
Monitor lubricant usage and provide recommendations to optimize performance and reduce costs for clients.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of field activities, including client feedback and market intelligence.
Collaborate with the marketing team to design promotional campaigns and materials.
Prepare regular sales and technical reports for management review.
Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
Professional certifications in lubricants, tribology, or related fields are an added advantage.
3–5 years of proven experience in the lubricant industry or a closely related field.
Demonstrated field experience in industrial or automotive lubricant applications.
Hands-on experience in business development and sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
