We are seeking a qualified Locum Pharmacist to provide temporary coverage for pharmacy services, ensuring the continuous delivery of high-quality patient care. The successful candidate must hold a valid registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council and possess at least two years of post-registration experience in a clinical or community pharmacy setting. Responsibilities include dispensing medications, conducting clinical checks, and providing expert advice to patients and healthcare professionals. Strong communication skills, an ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to maintaining pharmacy standards are essential. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and adherence to all relevant regulations and guidelines are also required.
Delivers comprehensive pharmaceutical services in a full-time capacity, ensuring the accurate dispensing of medications and adherence to regulatory standards. Collaborates with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes and maintain meticulous records of drug inventories, prescriptions, and controlled substances. Provides expert consultation on medication therapies, dosage adjustments, and potential drug interactions while promoting safe and effective medication use. Maintains compliance with all federal, state, and organizational policies governing pharmacy practice. Participates in continuing education to stay current with advancements in pharmaceutical science and therapeutics.
Requirements:
Earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Harm.D) degree.
A minimum of one year of postings professional experience is required.
A New York State Professional Clinical Nurse (PCN) License along with a National Youth Service Corps (NYC) Discharge Certificate are mandatory prerequisites.
Applicants must either currently reside in Enugu or demonstrate a willingness to relocate to the area should the need arise.
Retail pharmacy experience is considered a valuable asset.

Compensation for Locum positions ranges from $400 to $800 per hour.
Weekend work is scheduled on a rotating basis, necessitating availability every other weekend.
Saturday through Saturday, the position requires availability from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, including weekends.
A Sunday schedule is required, with work hours from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
