Job Summary
A highly qualified Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) packaging machine operator is required to operate, oversee, and maintain the machinery integral to the production of seasoning sachets.
The ideal candidate will oversee machine performance to maintain optimal productivity, uphold stringent product quality standards, reduce downtime, and ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties to ensure operational excellence and organizational success. Lead key initiatives, drive strategic projects, and collaborate across departments to streamline processes and enhance productivity. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Manage stakeholder relationships, foster strong partnerships, and communicate effectively to align teams with overarching business objectives. Analyze performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and propose data-driven solutions to optimize efficiency and profitability. Additionally, mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Responsibilities include running and overseeing the functionality of Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) sachet packaging machines to ensure seamless production operations.
Prepare equipment for manufacturing operations and modify configurations for different production cycles.
Ensure machine settings are properly adjusted to maintain precise filling, sealing, coding, and packaging standards.
Diagnose minor machine malfunctions and escalate significant problems to appropriate personnel as needed.
Reduce machine downtime and material waste to their absolute minimum.
Ensure machines and work areas are consistently clean and sanitary to meet hygiene standards.
Ensure full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety protocols, and workplace safety regulations at all times.
Work collaboratively with Production, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance teams to meet established production targets effectively, ensuring seamless coordination and alignment across all departments.
Contribute to ongoing enhancement efforts and fulfill any additional assigned responsibilities.
The position necessitates a minimum of three years of experience in a related field, along with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional qualifications. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential, as is proficiency in industry-standard software tools. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, the capacity to work under pressure, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Additionally, candidates must exhibit a proactive approach to learning and adapting to evolving industry trends.
A minimum qualification of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or a relevant technical certification is required.
A minimum of two years of hands-on experience with Dakota machines or comparable vertical form fill seal (VFFS) packaging systems is required.
Professional background in food manufacturing or seasoning production is highly desirable.
Possesses a solid grasp of machine setup procedures, changeover processes, troubleshooting techniques, and packaging quality standards.
Proficiency in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety protocols, and workplace safety standards is essential.
Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail while thriving in high-pressure production settings with rapid workflows.
