Job Summary
We are in search of a seasoned and exceptionally skilled Group Head, safety to spearhead the strategic direction of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HESSE) management throughout our expanding operations.
This pivotal leadership position is tasked with fostering a robust safety culture, enhancing operational controls, maintaining regulatory adherence, and integrating industry-leading safety practices throughout our downstream, midstream, marine, depot, terminal, retail, logistics, and infrastructure operations.
What You Will Do
Spearhead the creation, execution, and ongoing enhancement of the Group’s Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HESSE) strategy, alongside its policies, standards, and procedures.
Foster a proactive safety culture throughout every business operation and all locations.
Oversee depot, terminal, marine, logistics, retail, and project safety operations to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory, statutory, and industry safety mandates and standards.
Orchestrate proactive measures to prevent incidents, conduct thorough investigations, perform detailed root cause analyses, and execute corrective actions to ensure sustained improvements.
Design and oversee safety performance indicators alongside comprehensive management reporting frameworks.
Conduct comprehensive operational risk evaluations, systematically identify hazards, and implement robust control measures throughout all facilities.
Demonstrate strong safety leadership in overseeing vessel operations, product discharge procedures, tank farm management, truck loading processes, and product movement activities.
Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for emergency preparedness, coordinate response planning efforts, conduct regular drills, and establish robust business continuity frameworks to ensure organizational resilience.
Foster strategic partnerships and maintain ongoing communication with regulatory bodies, emergency response teams, security organizations, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and compliance requirements.
Conduct comprehensive safety audits, perform detailed inspections, execute compliance reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety standards and operational efficiency.
Verify that contractors, vendors, and third-party entities adhere to the Group’s safety standards.
Facilitate infrastructure development initiatives by integrating safety protocols at every phase of project implementation and during the commissioning process.
