Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Blow Mold Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting blow molding machines to ensure efficient and high-quality production. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare blow molding machines for production by installing molds, adjusting machine settings, and verifying alignment and calibration.
Operate machines to produce plastic parts, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues with blow molding machines.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Replace and repair molds and machine components as needed.
Monitor product quality by conducting visual and dimensional inspections during production.
Adjust machine parameters to meet product specifications and ensure consistent output.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Report safety hazards, incidents, or non-compliance issues to supervisors.
Maintain accurate records of production data, machine performance, and maintenance activities.
Provide feedback to supervisors on ways to improve efficiency and quality.
Work closely with the production team to meet daily and weekly production goals.
Assist in training new team members on blow molding processes and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
Test Trade, ND, or HND.
Proven experience as a Blow Mold Technician or in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of blow molding processes.
Familiarity with tools and equipment used in machine setup, maintenance, and repair.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Basic knowledge of quality control principles and practices.
