Responsibilities include:
Engage and manage new and existing internal and external stakeholders to ensure continued systematic identification, analysis, planning and implementation of actions designed to engage with stakeholders.
Create and maintain a database of relevant stakeholders to the project, as well as a systemic approach to engagement of all key stakeholders across the project.
Proactively manage key federal and state-level government relations.
Monitor the external environment to identify legal, political, and social issues that may affect the company’s operations and interests, as well as proffer mitigation options.
Develop key relationships with foreign missions, trade missions and organizations, government agencies and parastatals, media and other organizations.
Actively build industrial and commercial sales funnels through business development efforts
Develop and implement an effective crisis management framework.
Represent the company’s interests at key industry events and serve as key spokesperson for the organization.
Proactively manage all community-related requests, with a view to continually maintaining goodwill towards the Alaro City project.
Ensure prompt de-escalation and resolution of all community-centered agitations towards the Alaro City project.
Serve as a key community liaison and coordinate all community-related affairs alongside LWIL and other designated parties.
Maintain cordial and effective relationships with other Free Zone operators and jointly drive appreciation and positive perception for the regime.
Counter negative publicity and handle crisis and emergency communications promptly and effectively.
Create and maintain a favorable public image for Alaro City by communicating and managing brand perception.
In collaboration with Marketing & Communications, plan and execute Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs and analyse the impact on both the company and the beneficiaries every quarter.
Create an effective job desk and job administration system for Alaro City with a view to driving employment from the community.
REQUIREMENTS
Hard skills and experience:
Seven to 10 years’ experience in sales, marketing, corporate communications, media relations, advertising and event management in a reputable company
Excellent written and oral communication, producing copywriter-or professional journalist-level text.
Proven leadership and managerial experience
Strong ability in: planning, branding, design and digital.
Knowledge of multi-channel marketing/communication processes and the local Nigerian media.
Very strong analytical skills.
Previous exposure to emerging or frontier markets.
International product and brand communications experience highly desirable.
Soft skills:
Mature, pragmatic and flexible approach, strong commercial judgment.
