Responsibilities
The goal of this activity is to build the capacity, competencies and develop the skills of service providers on the prevention, treatment and management of PPH using these underutilized drugs and commodities.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
Equip service providers with knowledge and skills to effectively prevent and manage PPH during labor and delivery.
Develop competency in using HSC, TXA, and calibrated drapes for PPH management through a clinical care bundle approach.
Promote respectful maternity care and improve attitudes toward maternal and newborn health (MNH).
Achieve at least 85% competency in PPH prevention and treatment practices among trained providers as measured through post-training assessments.
SPECIFIC DELIVERABLES
National Master Trainers
Comprehensive report on ToT for SMTs, including session activities, participant competency assessments, and feedback.
Upload of daily attendance logs and training data from ToT sessions into Jhpiego’s training tracker.
Compiled OSCE evaluation results for SMT participants.
Report on first batch LDHF training in Kebbi and Ondo, detailing outcomes, challenges, and recommendations.
Final consolidated report summarizing ToT, LDHF first batch outcomes, success stories, consented photos, and recommendations.
State Master Trainers
Detailed LDHF training reports for healthcare providers in Kebbi and Ondo, covering session details, OSCE results, and challenges.
Upload of daily attendance logs and training data from LDHF sessions into Jhpiego’s training tracker.
Compiled OSCE evaluation results for facility staff participants.
Reports on facility-based step-down training, including monitoring outcomes and feedback for trained staff.
Consolidated final report summarizing LDHF training, list of selected champions, monitoring outcomes, success stories, consented photos and lessons learned.
Required Qualifications
Healthcare professionals (doctor, nurse, midwife) with training and knowledge of BEmONC and the revised 2024 national PPH guidelines.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in facilitating competency-based training for health workers.
experience working with State Ministry of Health; Primary Health Care Agencies and implementing partners.
Proficiency in LDHF and OSCE training methodologies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office packages

Ability to engage and manage strategic stakeholders including government, implementing partners, facility, and community levels.
