Position Overview:
The Horticulturist will be responsible for the cultivation, maintenance, and management of plants, with a focus on greenhouse cultivation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in horticultural practices, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to enhancing the company’s green spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the cultivation and care of plants, ensuring their health and sustainability.
Manage greenhouse operations, including planting schedules, pest control, and irrigation.
Design and maintain aesthetically pleasing landscapes for residential and commercial properties.
Conduct soil analysis and recommend fertilizers or other treatments to improve plant growth.
Monitor and control environmental factors affecting plant health.
Guide plant selection and care to clients and team members.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in horticulture, with specific expertise in greenhouse cultivation.
A degree or certification in Horticulture, Agriculture, Botany, or a related field is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of plant species, pest management, and soil science.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be a resident within Ajah, Lagos.
