Job Summary
Eko Maintenance Limited is seeking a full-time Firefighter to join our team in Victoria Island.
The primary responsibilities include inspecting properties for fire safety compliance, responding to various emergencies, and participating in fire prevention programs.
The Firefighter will also maintain station facilities and equipment, document fire incidents, and conduct emergency rescues.
Responsibilities
Inspect properties for health and safety compliance, focusing on fire prevention and emergency preparedness.
Respond promptly to fire alarms, medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, and urban rescues to safeguard life and property.
Participate in fire prevention programs and ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Maintain fire station facilities and ensure firefighting equipment is in optimal condition.
Document all fire alarm activations and fire incidents with detailed reports for management review.
Conduct emergency elevator rescues as trained by Eko maintenance.
Communication, honesty, responsibility, collaboration and awareness is key in any task
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years experience as a Firefighter.
Certification as an emergency medical technician (EMT) is highly desirable.
Proficient in first aid and CPR techniques.
