Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Engineer to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the on-site construction of a variety of water features, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution:
Oversee all on-site construction activities, including excavation, concrete work, plumbing, electrical, and landscaping.
Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
Manage subcontractors and coordinate their work schedules.
Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or challenges.
Implement corrective actions to address any issues that arise.
Quality Control:
Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of workmanship and materials.
Identify and resolve any quality issues promptly.
Perform quality control checks on all stages of construction.
Safety Management:
Implement and enforce all safety procedures and regulations on site.
Conduct daily safety inspections and toolbox talks.
Investigate and report any safety incidents.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel.
Budget and Schedule Management:
Monitor project costs and ensure they are within budget.
Track project progress against the schedule and identify any potential schedule delays.
Prepare progress reports and communicate project status to the Project Manager.
Client Communication:
Maintain regular communication with clients to address any concerns or questions.
Conduct site visits with clients to review progress and address any issues.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, meeting minutes, and inspection reports.
Prepare as-built drawings and other required documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
3 years of experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry, with a strong preference for experience in water features, landscaping, or related fields.
Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and materials.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Project Management software).
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
