Responsibilities
Safety Compliance & Inspections:
Ensure adherence to applicable safety standards.
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Maintain and update safety documentation, including MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets), safety manuals, and emergency response plans.
Policy Development & Implementation:
Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety protocols and procedures.
Training & Awareness:
Conduct safety training programs for all plant personnel.
Organize fire drills and emergency response exercises.
Incident Management:
Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
Develop strategies for mitigating risks identified during investigations or inspections.
Hazard Mitigation:
Evaluate and improve safety equipment and PPE compliance.
Liaison:
Coordinate with regulatory authorities, local fire departments, and environmental agencies, for inspections and compliance.
Act as the safety point of contact for contractors and external parties working on-site.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety & Fire Engineering, Environmental Science, Engineering with Diploma in Safety , or related field.
Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience with the above responsibilities.
OSHA Certification in Occupational Safety or equivalent.
Ability to manage and enforce compliance under high-pressure situations.
