The HR Executive will work closely with the HR & Outsourcing Manager to support the development and implementation of HR policies tailored to the African operational context. The role involves actively participating in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding of in-house staff. The HR Executive will play a crucial role in fostering a culturally inclusive work environment, addressing employee relations matters, and bridging cultural gaps between in-house and outsourced teams.
Job Description
Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies that align with the African operational context.
Participate in the recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition for new in-house staff.
Contribute to the performance management process, working closely with managers to track employee performance and development.
Assist in addressing employee relations matters, promoting a positive work environment.
Support the HR & Outsourcing Manager in identifying strategic outsourcing opportunities for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Assist in managing relationships with outsourcing clients and overseeing the performance of outsourced staff.
Work towards bridging cultural gaps between in-house and outsourced teams, promoting a cohesive and collaborative work atmosphere.
Sensitize HR practices to align with diverse cultural norms prevalent in the African work environment.
Assist in implementing training programs aimed at enhancing the skills and cultural awareness of the workforce.
Support initiatives that promote professional growth and career development for both in-house and outsourced staff.
Stay informed about African labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices, ensuring compliance in all HR activities.
Ensure all HR and outsourcing activities comply with local legal requirements.
Collaborate in utilizing HR analytics to derive insights into workforce trends and performance.
Prepare and present regular reports on HR and outsourcing metrics for management review.
Work closely with the HR & Outsourcing Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for outsourcing clients, ensuring strong and positive relationships.
Assist in addressing client concerns and proactively identify opportunities for service improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2 years of experience in HR roles, with exposure to outsourcing practices.
Knowledge of African labor laws and cultural nuances.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional certifications like; CIPM, PHRi are added advantage
