Chief Financial Officer

Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial strategy and operations. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will provide strategic direction, financial expertise, and operational excellence to ensure the organization’s fiscal health and drive long-term growth.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.
Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to drive growth and sustainability.
Evaluate and manage financial risks, opportunities, and investments.

Financial Management:

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders, including the board of directors and investors.
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital structure to support operational needs.

Operational Oversight:

Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring the development of high-performing talent.
Establish and enforce robust financial controls, policies, and procedures.
Oversee tax planning, compliance, and regulatory reporting.

Business Performance Analysis:

Monitor key financial metrics to assess organizational performance.
Provide actionable insights to optimize cost efficiency and revenue growth.
Support decision-making through detailed financial analysis and modeling.

Stakeholder Management:

Maintain strong relationships with investors, auditors, banks, and other financial partners.
Present financial performance updates and strategies to the board and other stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
Proven experience (10+ years) in senior financial leadership roles.
Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and management reporting.
Strong knowledge of tax regulations, compliance, and corporate governance.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.

Preferred candidates should have experience from the Fintech industry such as Moniepoint, Flutterwave, Palmpay, Opay, Unified Payments, E-transact, Paga, Interswitch etc.
