This role serves as a pivotal position within the Customer Finance Department of a dynamic startup at the forefront of renewable energy and mobile payment innovation.

This position demands professionals to operate with minimal oversight, execute tasks related to contacting delinquent customers, engage directly with clients, and, as required, terminate services for non-paying customers while ensuring a positive customer experience.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Develop, implement, and monitor strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and performance across all assigned functions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster innovation, streamline processes, and achieve key performance indicators. Responsibilities include preparing monthly financial statements, managing budgets, conducting variance analyses, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and assisting with strategic financial planning. This role involves ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies governing credit risk management, as well as promoting ethical lending practices across the organization. Responsibilities include monitoring compliance with credit policies, assessing borrower eligibility, and verifying accuracy in credit reporting. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, mitigate potential risks, and maintain alignment with industry regulations. Achieve all quantitative and qualitative objectives established by the customer finance department, including metrics related to late payments, first-time payments, chargebacks, repossessions, and payment agent performance.

Conduct a quarterly credit campaign to maintain all credit metrics within acceptable thresholds.

Facilitate biweekly recovery committees, ensuring participation from all regional stakeholders to drive collaborative progress and alignment.

Facilitate the active involvement of the team in all credit-related initiatives, including Field Clinics and Credit Campaigns, within the designated region of coverage.

In partnership with the Business Stakeholders department, you will engage with customers to identify their needs and enhance payment channels in the designated zone or region for a seamless experience.

Oversee various ad hoc assignments as directed by the Customer Finance Department as needed.

Seeking a highly skilled professional with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in a related field. The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a pertinent discipline, along with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is essential, as is the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. A relevant field HND / B.Sc. Degree or Diploma is required.
