We are seeking a Regional Manager to be stationed in the South-West region, tasked with full accountability for end-to-end performance in one of our key markets. This role is not a coordinating or reporting position but rather a Co-driven leadership role within Nigeria’s Sales organization, with direct responsibility for overseeing Senior Field Sales Managers and their respective teams.

This position requires on-site attendance at our office in Nigeria, where you will collaborate with colleagues from our varied markets and locations spanning the UK, Europe, and Africa. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, you will be an integral part of the team.

In this regional sales position, you won’t simply oversee an existing system—you’ll design it from the ground up while ensuring it meets the highest benchmarks. Your role encompasses establishing strategic priorities, making critical personnel decisions—such as promotions, performance improvement plans, and exits—and allocating territory and resources with precision. Each choice you make directly impacts key metrics for seven million customers.

What you’ll actually be doing

Responsibilities include driving consistent sales performance at both regional and monthly levels by establishing clear strategic priorities, analyzing FSM scorecards, detecting potential systemic risks in advance, and maintaining seamless end-of-month processes through timely escalation to the Head of Sales when necessary.

Driving on-site leadership involves allocating dedicated time in key regions to mentor Field Sales Managers in leadership principles—not solely performance metrics—while performing operational compliance reviews and addressing escalated personnel concerns, such as disciplinary actions and performance-related challenges.

Developing a robust talent pipeline involves strategic hiring, promotion, and succession planning for the Frontline Supervisor Manager layer, cultivating leadership readiness, and addressing underperformance proactively through Performance Improvement Plans or, when necessary, exit decisions.

What you’ll bring

Experienced in leading field sales teams with a track record of effectively managing managers across extensive, geographically spread teams, preferably in sectors such as fintech, FMCG, telecoms, or consumer finance.

Proven success in fast-paced, results-driven settings with a strong ability to analyze performance metrics, recognize key trends, and leverage data to optimize resource allocation and territory planning.

Proven experience in shaping organizational culture—creating spaces where top performers excel, while consistently addressing underperformance, and upholding DAKOTA’s uncompromising standards of Progress, Excellence, and Humility.
