Job Summary
The Programs Intern will deliver comprehensive administrative and operational assistance to the Programs Team. This position is structured to provide practical exposure to NGO program execution, evaluation, documentation, and outreach initiatives.
Oversee and execute a range of critical duties to ensure the seamless operation of the department, including managing daily workflows, coordinating team efforts, and aligning projects with organizational objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, enhance productivity, and drive measurable results. Provide leadership in delegating tasks, monitoring progress, and resolving operational challenges to maintain high performance standards. Additionally, conduct regular performance evaluations, offer constructive feedback, and support professional development initiatives for team members. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Support the development and execution of program activities through careful planning and implementation.
Assist with gathering, recording, and evaluating data for active initiatives to ensure accuracy and facilitate informed decision-making.
Assist in the development of reports, presentations, and program documentation as required.
Support the coordination and execution of training sessions, workshops, and community engagement initiatives.
Perform foundational research and gather relevant background data to support proposal development.
Facilitate field visits and beneficiary interactions as needed to ensure effective project implementation.
Execute a variety of administrative tasks in support of the Programs Team’s operations.
Oversee and manage program files and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Organize, update, and securely store records in accordance with established procedures.
Seeking a candidate with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with proven experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are required to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a track record of delivering results within specified timelines and possess a keen attention to detail. A bachelor’s degree or recent graduation in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, Education, or a closely related discipline is required.
