Job Purpose
The Assistant Security Supervisor plays a key role in collaborating with the Security Supervisor to oversee and streamline daily security operations, safeguarding personnel, visitors, assets, facilities, and confidential company data. In this capacity, you will provide support in supervising security staff, implementing security protocols and guidelines, overseeing access control systems, addressing incidents promptly, and maintaining adherence to established organizational security standards.
Oversee and lead a range of essential tasks, ensuring efficient execution of daily operations and strategic initiatives. Provide direction and support to team members, fostering collaboration and driving productivity to meet organizational goals. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance performance and maintain high standards of quality. Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and address any challenges to optimize workflows and achieve desired results. Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and alignment with company objectives. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal guidelines to uphold accountability and mitigate risks.
Review and oversee the duty roster to ensure accurate deployment of outsourced guards to their designated posts upon the start of their shifts.
Proactively safeguard assigned areas by implementing vigilant patrols and monitoring strategies to deter theft, sabotage, espionage, and both human-induced and natural hazards.
Perform routine beat patrols to verify that contracted security personnel consistently fulfill their duties in accordance with the established Service Level Agreement.
Ensure strict control over all outgoing items and prevent unauthorized access to the factory premises by meticulously supervising shifts and verifying proper authorization for any items leaving the facility.
Immediately notify the Safety and Security Supervisor if any security breaches occur within the factory premises.
Ensure that all new employees, visitors, guests, contractors, and other individuals are warmly greeted and accompanied to the appropriate office or department for their intended meetings or visits.
Ensure thorough and complete documentation at every location by examining beat registers as needed, recording observations, and providing actionable recommendations for enhancements.
Promptly address all security emergencies with thorough situation reports, and submit detailed hand-over reports at the conclusion of each duty shift to ensure appropriate follow-up actions.
Act as the primary point of contact with the external security provider and loading supervisors or clerks to facilitate seamless vehicle movement and parking operations.
Monitor outsourced security personnel’s performance and provide constructive feedbacks.
Qualification
OND or its equivalent in any relevant discipline.
A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in a related field is required.
Demonstrates proficiency in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability, along with strong organizational and time management abilities. Exhibits keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience in a similar role. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficient in utilizing industry-standard software and tools to streamline workflows and enhance productivity. Demonstrates a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges to drive continuous improvement. Must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are essential for evaluating complex situations and making informed decisions. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of performance.
