We are seeking a reliable and organized Storekeeper to manage our inventory and ensure the efficient operation of our storeroom. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management and organization of RusselSmith’s inventory, this role involves comprehensive oversight of the storage, issuance, and meticulous record-keeping of goods and materials. Ensures the organization’s operational needs are met with a high level of efficiency. This encompasses not only the physical storage and distribution of items but also the implementation of systematic approaches to inventory control. Responsible for optimizing processes to streamline the flow of goods, enhance accessibility, and guarantee that the organization’s operational requirements are consistently and effectively fulfilled.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock and materials.
Organize and maintain inventory in an orderly and accessible manner.
Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies when necessary.
Ensure the accuracy of inventory records by conducting regular audits.
Issue supplies and materials to staff as required.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the storeroom.
Prepare reports on stock levels, shortages, and excess inventory.
Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams for timely deliveries.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in inventory management are a plus.
Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar role.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
