Role Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Business Developer & Sales Strategist to lead business growth initiatives, oversee key partnerships, and collaborate closely with our marketing team to achieve strategic goals. This role will be the face of our company, driving market expansion and ensuring strong client relationships across the B2B, B2B2C, and B2C sectors. You will spearhead efforts to identify opportunities, close sales, and develop partnerships with corporations, cooperatives, and NGOs, ensuring long-term growth and value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within B2B, B2B2C, and B2C markets, focusing on cooperatives, NGOs, and corporate partnerships.
Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive revenue and increase market penetration for our company
Lead the end-to-end sales process, including crafting tailored proposals, delivering pitches, and negotiating contracts to secure corporate clients.
Build and nurture strategic partnerships with cooperatives, businesses, and high-volume clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
Serve as the primary contact for key clients, managing ongoing relationships, and addressing client needs to ensure retention and growth.
Design and implement customized solutions, such as corporate gifting packages, staff food loans, and cooperative partnerships.
Collaborate with local cooperatives and offline promoters to drive sales in areas with limited digital penetration
Partner with regional representatives to expand our company footprint across offline channels, ensuring market growth in underserved communities.
Lead and execute sales campaigns, working closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
Utilize digital marketing, referral programs, and loyalty initiatives to drive B2C growth and organic customer acquisition.
Analyze campaign performance to adjust strategies and improve conversion rates.
Drive revenue growth by achieving and exceeding quarterly sales targets.
Monitor sales performance metrics, providing insights and reports to senior management for data-driven decision-making.
Adjust business development tactics based on market trends and performance analysis to optimize results.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles, preferably within the e-commerce or FMCG sectors.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or any other related field.
Strong understanding of the Nigerian food supply chain and e-commerce landscape.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficiency in CRM tools and data-driven decision-making.
Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies and tools.
Proficiency in using digital marketing platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, social media management tools, and email marketing software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data
