Junior Procurement Officer

Job Responsibilities

Identify reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to maintain a strong network of quality suppliers.
Conduct market research to find potential suppliers and evaluate their products, prices, and quality.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery or product quality.
Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to purchase order generation, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Obtain and review quotes from suppliers, compare them, and prepare analysis reports for decision-making.
Work with relevant departments to confirm purchase requirements and specifications.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable terms and reduce costs without compromising on quality.
Analyze market trends to anticipate shifts in pricing and availability and recommend adjustments to purchasing strategies.
Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier consolidation, volume discounts, or alternative sourcing.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with inventory management teams to ensure optimal stock levels and avoid stockouts or overstocking.
Track orders and deliveries, ensuring all items are received in good condition and on time.
Work with logistics providers and internal teams to manage shipping, customs, and distribution of products.
Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and maintain accurate procurement records in line with company policies.
Conduct regular audits of procurement activities and maintain thorough documentation.
Prepare reports on procurement activities, including cost analyses, vendor performance, and procurement cycle times.
Present procurement reports and recommendations to senior management as required.
Collaborate with other departments, such as accountto ensure seamless procurement and supply chain activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), or similar,(preferred but not required).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
Strongnegotiation skills and attention to detail and reliability.
Proficiency in procurement software.
Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
High adaptability and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in office software (MS Office Suite, Google Workspace).
Ability to handle sensitive information withdiscretion,confidentiality and professionalism.
Project Management.
