About The Role
The Senior Treasury Manager will lead the organization’s treasury function, focusing on managing liquidity, mitigating financial risks, and optimizing capital resources to ensure business continuity and profitability.
Operating in a challenging macroeconomic environment, this role will play a critical part in addressing foreign exchange liquidity issues, mitigating risks from currency devaluation, and maintaining robust relationships with banking partners to secure favourable terms and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Liquidity Management:
Ensure efficient cash flow management to meet operational and financial commitments.
Develop and maintain robust cash forecasting models.
Risk Mitigation:
Implement strategies to mitigate foreign exchange and currency devaluation risks.
Develop hedging strategies to minimize financial exposure.
Banking Relationships:
Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and banking partners.
Negotiate favorable terms for credit facilities and other financial arrangements.
Capital Optimization:
Analyze and optimize the use of capital resources to support business goals.
Monitor and manage debt levels to maintain financial health.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to treasury operations.
Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations affecting treasury activities.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop the treasury team to achieve operational excellence.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. A master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in treasury, banking or corporate finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of foreign exchange markets, financial instruments, and liquidity management.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
