Description
We seek skilled and motivated NOC (Network Operations Center) Engineers to join our highly motivated team. Suitable candidates will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performances and uptime, and playing crucial roles in troubleshooting and resolving network issues to support our clients and internal teams.
Technical Requirements
Education and Certification
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, IT, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering (preferred).
Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP (Cisco), JNCIA/JNCIS (Juniper), Fortinet Network Security Associate (FNSA), Fortinet Network Security Professional (NSE 4), MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA), MikroTik Certified Routing Engineer (MTCRE)or similar.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in an NOC or similar operational environment.
Hands-on experience with monitoring and managing Metro Fiber networks, Dark Fiber, IP transport and GPON equipment (OLT & ONT).
Proven expertise in configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls.
Experience with low voltage panels and electrical circuits (an added advantage).
Network Technologies:
Strong understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols (e.g., MPLS, OSPF, BGP, STP).
Experience with DWDM systems and Metro Ethernet technologies.
Familiarity with QoS configurations and bandwidth management.
Virtual Machines and Colocation:
Experience in managing virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
Knowledge of colocation services, including power management, rack setups, and remote hands.
Monitoring Tools:
Proficiency in network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, FM-T, Zabbix, or PRTG.
Familiarity with logging and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, SNMP, Syslog).
Security and Compliance:
Understanding of network security best practices, including firewalls, ACLs, and VPNs.
Awareness of compliance standards (ISO, SOC, or other applicable frameworks).
Operational Skills:
Incident Management
Experience in responding to alerts, performing root cause analysis, and resolving incidents within SLA timeframes.
Ability to escalate complex issues to engineering teams or vendors.
Documentation and Reporting:
Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation of incidents, procedures, and network changes.
Ability to generate performance and incident reports.
Shift Work:
Availability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to manage fatigue and maintain focus during extended hours.
Collaboration and Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience in conducting shift handovers with detailed status reports.

Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
Strong organizational skills
Additional Preferences (Optional):
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automating tasks.
Knowledge of IP transit and peering agreements.
Experience with customer service in an SLA-driven environment.
