As a Copywriter at Echo Africa, you will play a crucial role in shaping the voice of our clients’ brands, creating content that captivates audiences and drives results.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation:
Develop clear, engaging, and persuasive copy for various marketing channels, including digital ads, social media, websites, email campaigns, video scripts, brochures, and more.
Tailor messaging to different audiences, ensuring consistency with the brand’s tone and objectives.
Campaign Development:
Collaborate with the creative and account teams to conceptualize and execute integrated marketing campaigns.
Brainstorm and contribute innovative ideas for campaigns, ensuring they align with clients’ goals and resonate with target audiences.
Brand Storytelling:
Craft compelling narratives that effectively communicate brand values, products, and services.
Maintain a deep understanding of each client’s brand voice, ensuring all content produced is on-brand and aligns with their strategic objectives.
Editing and Proofreading:
Review and refine copy to ensure clarity, coherence, and correctness.
Ensure all content is free from errors, meets project requirements, and adheres to deadlines.
Market Research:
Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and target audience behaviors to inform and enhance content strategies.
Stay up-to-date with emerging digital marketing trends and copywriting best practices.
Client Interaction:
Engage with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and feedback, ensuring that all deliverables meet or exceed their expectations.
Present ideas and copy drafts to clients and make revisions based on feedback.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
2 – 4 years of professional copywriting experience, preferably in an advertising, marketing, or branding agency.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of copywriting styles and successful campaigns.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to multitask across different projects and clients.
