Job Summary
The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving growth by identifying, acquiring, and maintaining client relationships across private, public, and development sectors. This role demands strategic thinking, market insight, and the ability to deliver tailored solutions that align with organisational goals. The Business Development Executive will manage the end-to-end business development process, from prospecting and lead generation to client acquisition and retention, while ensuring exceptional service delivery and fostering long-term partnerships.
Job Responsibilities.
Identify, target, and secure new clients across diverse sectors, including private, public, and development organisations.
Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy encompassing prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management.
Research and monitor market trends, potential clients, and emerging opportunities for business expansion, prioritising leads based on alignment with organisational capabilities.
Build and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to foster trust and collaboration.
Lead client meetings and presentations to effectively articulate the company’s value proposition and consulting expertise.
Manage the preparation and submission of high-quality proposals, RFP responses, and presentations tailored to client needs.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and sustained client satisfaction.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership on positioning, partnerships, and market expansion strategies.
Track and report key performance metrics, including lead generation, proposal conversion rates, and client acquisition progress.
Drive continuous improvement in business development processes and strategies based on performance analytics and client feedback.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in business development or sales management will be an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills & Expereinces
Minimum of ten (10) years experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management, preferably in consulting or related industries.
A proven ability to secure new clients, win proposals, and achieve revenue growth across multiple sectors.
Exceptional verbal and written communication, with the ability to present and persuade effectively at all levels.
Understanding of private, public, and development sectors, and the challenges and opportunities they present.
An entrepreneurial spirit, with a passion for identifying opportunities and the drive to close deals.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by tangible results and rewarding challenges.
Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with the capability to provide data-driven recommendations.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
