Lead Animator Instructor

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Instructor for our Animation Course, designed to equip students with advanced skills in animation techniques, storytelling, and digital tools. The ideal candidate should be a highly skilled animator with experience in both 2D and 3D animation, possessing a passion for teaching and an ability to inspire creativity in learners of diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development and Instruction:

Design and deliver an instructor-led curriculum that covers essential animation topics, including principles of animation, character design, motion graphics, and storyboarding. Develop lesson plans, interactive workshops, and project-based assessments that ensure hands-on learning and skill mastery.

Mentorship and Guidance:

Guide and mentor students through complex animation projects, providing constructive feedback to help refine their skills. Foster an inclusive, engaging learning environment that encourages creative exploration and peer collaboration.

Industry-Relevant Project Integration:

Incorporate real-world projects that mirror industry standards, allowing students to apply their skills in realistic scenarios and build a professional-quality portfolio. Supervise students’ work on projects, giving feedback to develop their technical and artistic abilities.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and techniques in animation and visual effects, integrating relevant advancements into the course. Gather student feedback to enhance course content, teaching methods, and resources.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Digital Arts, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in animation, with expertise in 2D and/or 3D animation.
Proven experience in teaching or training, with a strong ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
Proficiency with industry-standard animation software such as Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom Harmony, Blender, and Maya.
Knowledge of storytelling principles, character development, and visual storytelling techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in animation or relevant digital arts.
Experience with VFX, motion graphics, and compositing.
Background in curriculum design or instructional content development.
